crack apple

Morning! Unless it's afternoon where you are, or evening, or even midnight. And if it is midnight, GET OFF THE INTERNET. If you're not careful you'll get to the weird corner of YouTube with videos of tortoises mating, or ten-hour-long versions of Nyan Cat, or paint drying on a hospital wall or something. And in case that argument wasn't compelling enough, here's some extra incentive.

Anyway, I (very productively) took some pictures of my outfit today while the light was still OK. Ish.

Old top; Primark cropped shirt, necklace made by me; bracelet given to me by a friend; vintage shoes with Barbie accessories stuck on by me.

How beautiful is this shirt? When I got it I was a bit skeptical about the colours because they look like acidic, brightly-coloured puke. I still do, but it's lush acidic, brightly-coloured puke. The colours remind me of the 1980s, and the shape reminds me of the early noughties. It reminds me of the colours from Meadham Kirchhoff's A/W 2012 collection:

In this case my shoes are legit vintage, but I can't quite place them. Possibly 60s? Right now I am really into acid-y, tropical colours and they're super bright and I love them. And yes, I am fully aware the little Barbie things don't match, but they're the right colours and I love the way they look. It's tempting to glue them on but I don't want to in case I want to make them into pins or something. The cherry on my necklace is also Barbie (yes I have a mild obsession and no I am not ashamed of it).

Also, how AMAZING is that fruit bracelet? It was given to me by a girl at my school ages ago - God, it must have been the start of Year Seven so nearly two years - but it's just PERFECT IN SO MANY WAYS. The blueberries look real, I swear. They're the right size and everything. I love it so hard and I just wish I had more.

Oh, hi, Etsy, you beautiful fruit-bracelet-filled paradise. I'm Ciara and I have a Visa card. Good to see you, old friend. Here, take all of my money in exchange for these beautiful things I'll never actually wear/use, I'll just put them on a shelf and admire them. Forever.

Oy vey.

  1. Ah, I found you back!
I didn't found updates on your old blog because of some reader problem... Cute accessories! Even though I comment late. I like how it's kitsch as well. Hope you'll post again.
